4-H'ers take the stage
Douglas County 4-H members recently performed in the annual Share-the-Fun Program at the Osakis school auditorium. The talent and skit event involved youth in kindergarten through one year post high school. Share-the-Fun allows 4-H members to develop poise, self-confidence and skill by performing for an audience, as well as discover their talents.
Eight acts performed for the Share-the-Fun audience.
First place skit: "I Wish I Could Have" by the Christina Lakers 4-H club won a trip to the State Fair as well as Best Costume.
Second place skit: "The Little Pigs" by the Chippewans 4-H Club won a trip to the State Fair as well as Most Entertaining.
Third place skit: "Working Wonders Chorus" by the Working Wonders 4-H Club won alternate for State Fair as well as Most Original.
First place talent: Emma Saulsbury, vocal solo, Working Wonders 4-H Club-Kensington. Second place talent: Greta McCleary, piano solo, Lake Mary Troopers 4-H Club-Farwell.
Third place talent: Taylor Pitschka, vocal solo, Hoofbeats 4-H Club-Nelson.
Also performing in the talent portion were: Nathan Saulsbury, trumpet solo, Working Wonders 4-H Club-Kensington, and Aili Toyli, trumpet solo, County Line Ramblers 4-H Club-Parkers Prairie.
