• Alexandria Mayor Sara Carlson was elected to serve as first vice president of the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities by the organization’s board of directors at its meeting on Feb. 2. As first vice president, Carlson will help guide efforts to inform state legislators of Greater Minnesota’s needs on issues such as property tax relief, economic development, transportation and environmental policy. Carlson was elected by fellow mayors and city officials from across the state.
• Edina Realty, a real estate firm, recently announced that the following realtors from the Alexandria office were named members of Edina Realty’s Chairman’s, Master’s, President’s, or Leadership Circles. These awards are based on an outstanding level of sales performance and customer service in 2015: Chairman’s Circle – Stuart Wood, Carl Kvale; President’s Circle – Sue Palmquist, Wendie VanKirk, Kay Loeffler; Leadership Circle – Lorie Irwin, Gloria Iverson, Chris Pinatiello.
• Marco recently hired 10 new people to form an Enterprise Network Team focused on providing business enablement technology solutions to enterprise businesses. The hires are part of Marco’s growth strategy to expand its business by investing in highly experienced and technically competent specialists. The team will enable businesses to solve their toughest technology challenges and uncover smarter ways of operating across all lines of business.
• A new provider, Megan Larsen, D.N.P., has joined the Alexandria team at Sanford Health Broadway Clinic. Larsen received her graduate degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – Adult. She specializes in family medicine, and she is accepting new patients.
