A Minnesota man training for a cross-country trip to raise money for breast cancer research will stop in Alexandria from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Cub Foods.

Al Reszel of Richmond, Minnesota, and his wife Terry rode 500 miles to Chicago in June 2016, then 1,700 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation headquarters in New York City this June.

In June 2018, he and wife Terry will bike 3,500 miles from the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles to the foundation headquarters.

To help raise funds, Al will welcome visitors outside the grocery store who wish to say "hello" and support breast cancer research.

The couple documented their past two rides and their progress at pinkpedals4acure.org and on their Facebook page, Pink Pedals 4 a Cure.
