Alexandria crash sends woman to hospital

An Alexandria woman was taken to Douglas County Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after crash on the west side of Alexandria.

Suellen Frisk, 67, was injured when the vehicle she was riding in struck another car on County Road 45 near Turning Leaf Lane, just south of County Road 82.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chrysler 200 LX driven by James Fuller, 44, of Alexandria, was southbound on County Road 45 and turned left into a parking lot near Turning Leaf Lane. Fuller turned in front of an oncoming vehicle driven by Timothy Frisk, 69, of Alexandria. Frisk's Ford Escape struck the Chrysler.

The two drivers were not injured. Seat belts were being worn by both drivers and the injured passenger. Air bags deployed in both vehicles.

The crash was reported at 4:29 pm. Tuesday, Dec. 5.
