Letter: Think before you take a knee
To the editor:
Before you take a knee during the National Anthem, think.
My grandfather, four generations ago, fought in the Civil War and was captured and placed in the Confederate prison.
My father-in-law served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for his injury.
I spent four years in the service and one of those years in Vietnam.
As a result of the year in Vietnam, I have a twenty percent disability.
Over 1.1 million people have given their lives for our country and you can't stand up and take off your hat for the National Anthem?
Shame on you!
Stand up and join arms and your message will be heard loud and clear!
