MOORHEAD, Minn. — The 2013 search for Anthony Kuznia, 11, quickly escalated when authorities learned he had autism. Chief Mike Hedlund said the East Grand Forks Police Department assisted the Polk County Sheriff's Department with a "very large search" to find the boy, who had a tendency of wandering off. Despite their efforts, Kuznia's body was found the next day in the Red River.
MARSHALL, Minn.—A frozen food company is boosting its frozen pizza business with two recent acquisitions. Schwan's Co., which was founded in 1952 and is headquartered in Marshall, announced Monday, July 24, that it acquired Better Baked Foods and Drayton Foods from NE Foods Inc. It's the second acquisition in recent months as the company builds up its stake in the U.S. pizza market, according to a news release. Schwan's reported last month that it acquired MaMa Rosa's Pizza, a company based in Sidney, Ohio.
FARGO—Fashion retailer H&M will open its first store here next year—but it won't be in West Acres Shopping Center. The Swedish-based brand with thousands of stores around the world announced to The Fargo Forum on Tuesday, March 7, that it will open a 25,000-square-foot location at the forthcoming Fargo Outlets at Timber Creek in fall 2018.
FARGO — A Fargo-based women's clothing retailer will soon close about 140 stores across the country — including the Alexandria location — after filing for bankruptcy protection.
